Fondazione LINKS is a research and innovation center based in Turin, Italy, co-founded by Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation and Politecnico di Torino. With a strong focus on applied research and technology transfer, it operates at the intersection of science, education, and social impact.
The EdTech Research Unit within LINKS is committed to advancing technological, pedagogical, and cultural innovation in education. Its mission is to empower schools, teachers, and learners by designing and promoting forward-thinking learning models and tools.
Through its involvement in numerous European and national projects, the unit has supported the training of thousands of teachers and educators, developing open, flexible, and research-informed learning resources that enhance digital and green competences, with a special focus on AI literacy, coding, data thinking, and hybrid learning environments.
The unit’s research investigates how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, immersive media, and data-driven tools are reshaping the way we learn, teach, and interact. A core objective is to foster awareness, build capacity, and promote new competences that prepare educational systems to face the challenges of the digital and green transitions.
