Hosting Organisation

The Secondary school of Economics and Trade is a VET school located in Smederevo, a town 50 kilometers away from Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. We educate students in the area of economics, administration, trade, tourism and gastronomy. The school has over 60 years of tradition, and today we have about 900 students and 100 teaching staff members. In the field of gastronomy, for which we are offering job shadowing, we have had exceptional success at local and international competitions. We actively participate in the implementation of the Erasmus+ program and have Erasmus accreditation in vocational education and training.

Mobility program description

Job shadowing activities at the school – the participants will attend classes where they will observe the preparation of national dishes. If the participants wish so, they can also take part in the preparation, as well as demonstrate the preparation of one of their national dishes. During job shadowing activities at HoReCa Academy in Belgrade the participants will have the opportunity to learn about higher education in the area of gastronomy. Job shadowing activities at Restaurant Vineyard – the participants will have the opportunity to learn about the preparation of national dishes usually served at Serbian restaurants.
