- Albanian Skills – The National Association of Skills Competitions is an innovative Skills from All Promotion and Development Platform. Organising national and local activities that promote the education and professional training of young people and others, their exposure to the world of work and life and international standards to facilitate and mediate good employment for their well-being. It is the promoter and organiser of the non-formal and informal learning as the most important part of LLL and skills for life through the organization of the training promoting digital literacy and green transition and ways to reorient their skills systems in line with the green deal ambitions, organization of the every year Editions of the Albanian National Skills Competitions (seven in row so far) focusing on innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability and decent life of the youth in Albania, organisation of the Albanian Skills Week since 2018 in the framework of European Vocational Skills Week. For a whole week, various training, seminars, shows and exhibitions take place, open days in different companies and are full of fun and educational activities initiated by strategic industry and technology partners. Through all of these initiatives and programmes young people are capacitated and promoted to the professional networks and opportunities. From 2019, Albanian Skills is a hosting and sending organization for VET students and staff from Albanian schools to EU countries and from EU countries to Albania. In addition to that, Albanian Skills is facilitating and developing the career services for youngsters in most remote municipalities and initiating a national awareness platform and trainings of skills for life through the organization of the “Career Days” and “Career Academy” in every municipality as a joint cooperation among the municipalities and private sector involvement. The main activities can be summarized as follows:
- Organizing national professional competitions in various fields of industry, agriculture, tourism, technology and information. It is the organizer of the 7 Editions of the Albanian National Skills Competitions and every year young people are developed and promoted in the way of professional life.
- Organizing workshops and seminars, for young people and others.From 2018, Albanian Skills organises the Albanian Skills Week, the first event of its kind in Albania. An event that continues to take place every year offering many opportunities for young people.
- Sending and Hosting organisation for students and staff from VET schools;
- Facilitating the opening of career offices in different local municipalities and providing training and mentoring opportunities and career guidance for its own staff Supporting activities and providing cooperation with other actors, vocational schools, universities, trade houses or businesses, various associations and companies within and outside the country, which have the same purpose as the Association
- Promoting initiatives for reform and positive change in accordance with the aims and objectives of the Association
- Spreading and promoting knowledge about world and European reality in the field of vocational skills and capacity development, vocational education and training, technology and innovation, and any related activities;
- Advancing and implementing concepts and models of sustainability in the fields of education and training of social, economic, and other skills;
- Facilitating social, economic and cultural integration in Europe by enhancing professional competencies and supporting broad-based policies;
- Providing assistance in implementing innovative solutions to important social problems or challenges through interdisciplinary, international and collaborative concepts;
- Enabling and facilitating links and cooperation between various global, European and Albanian partners in different fields with a focus on global youth employment challenges, digital revolution, entrepreneurship and lifelong learning for adults and children;
- Providing assistance or consultancy for state or private entities, domestic and foreign, related to the development of human capacities, innovation and digital revolution, entrepreneurship and technology, implementation of programs and projects that may be required by them;
- Promoting and raising awareness of social responsibility in society.
